I think the word woke is very unhelpful, as it sounds condescending. But I don't approve of toppling statues, ruining careers or making people afraid to speak.

You are correct that at the core of woke is simply treating people decently and with respect.

The motive should be lauded, but the language confuses and irritates while the extremists - as ever with extremists - whip up so much anger that the message can't be heard.

The word woke should be banned! It gives haters an easy way to dismiss human decency.

How did he threaten Romania and their justice system to get them released like that, I find that the interesting part of this story. Tariff's again was it? He should have left that pair well alone.
