Having said that, Kemi did the same as Starmer regarding Trump's brilliant attack on Zelenskyy. They obeyed the media and public order that politicians should behave in a certain way. It hasn't worked. Change is needed and Trump knows what makes GOOD TELEVISION. Yet again, Trump seems to have made all the Yes Men (and women) of global politics conform to conventional (media) wisdom. But also this is a sea change in war. I'm sure Putin is now far more prepared to talk and to ceasefire (thinking he can save face here). Likewise Zelenskyy. Give up a small amount of land and stop the killing. Putin? Claim to have won back a small amount of territory and save face - stopping the killing. A peace keeping force - mainly European but with a strong chink of US as well. USA getting a chunk of mining rights in the area (possibly from both Ukraine AND Russia).

Yes. Both he and Macron keeping DT sweet. And what it does emphasise is how much stronger we are with Europe. In Europe. So let's be the Kingpins of Europe. Also important, if peace is forged, DT has made this come about. Despite the ugliness of Friday. Credit where it is due. But drop Vance and Musk from a great height.

The mistake on Friday was Zelenskyy's. We all know how Trump works. Zelenskyy should have grovelled, apologised, oozed gratitude and then gently persuaded Trump to make billions from the minerals in Ukraine (and in any Russian stolen land) in return for assisting the European peacekeeping force (protecting American profits from mining).
Trump was Trump.
Any intelligent visitor wanting peace and stopping killing and, most important, to retain an important ally, would have worn a suit and tie, played the son so well supported by Dad, and quietly won a triumph.

Also DT is the only POTUS i can recall who has openly spoken about the fears of WW3. He's certainly not dumb as some make out he is. Far from it. Biden just gambled that doubling down on missiles into Russia wouldn't end with nukes. A stupid plan.

Leading in Europe at the moment without being in the EU......just saying!
