So the Dow has plummeted since Trump announced his Tariff trade war against friendly nations with hardly lefty outlets like the Wall St Journal, NY Times and others warning the tariffs risk causing a severe depression.

Does he even know how tariffs work?

He keeps implying that a country like Canada will have to pay these tariffs when it's the US importing companies that have to who naturally pass on the cost to consumers hence prices in the US go up.

The US auto industry is trembling as so many parts are imported from Canada.

Trump supporters claim this will help build local US businesses that will begin local manufacturing seemingly oblivious to the years if not decades it takes to build such industries let alone the high costs that will remain as an industry takes shape.

It seems so odd that Trump claims to be a brilliant businessman (The Art of The Deal ..Trump's alleged autobiography...real author has since apologised for his work of fiction) yet does not seem to understand how destructive..for the USA as well..a Tariff War can be.

## of course I am prejudiced as Trump has owed me money for nearly 20 years but I'm just one of tens of 1000s of workers bilked by him.

But I'll never forget how after a few drinks at night with one of the loyal (during the day) Trump staffers who burst into tears as he explained he thought working for Trump would lead to better jobs but instead when applying for a new job, NYC doors almost slammed in his face when they saw he was a Trump employee.
