Trump has now imposed tariffs on Aussie steel and aluminum which means, and amazingly a fair sized US populace are ignorant to the fact, prices will go up for US consumers.

Now Oz politicians are imposing tariffs on US imported goods (easily 10 times the export trade) which means local prices in Oz will go up.

But finally, some are talking about how the US enjoys cost free land rights at their huge military bases in Darwin but more importantly, the secretive Pine Gap spy station plonk in the middle of the Oz desert purposely located as the enormous land mass prevents spy ships spying pn it and no airplane can get near it.

It's meant to be jointly run but the Aussies are not allowed near the US section where every US military action is directed from..the Osama Bin Laden episode etc.

Pine Gap is like a carbon copy of the mysterious Area 51 in the Nevada desert.

Australia basically now holds one big Trump card over this as it's jointly run .

In the 70's when a newly elected left wing prime minister declared he was going to inspect Pine Gap, the CIA engineered (they've admitted it since) a sort of coup where The Queen via the Governor General dismissed his government.

My other prediction: Donald Trump has never heard of Pine Gap or is totally ignorant to how important & irreplaceable it if for the USA security.

Trump has announced new tariff of 200% on wines and spirits coming out of the EU.

This can be devastating . It took the new left wing government an age to negotiate with China to drop tariffs on Aussie wines which was devastating the Oz wine industry. Fortunately now restored and the trade is flowing again.

It was purely retaliatory by the Chinese as the previous government had insulted them a few times.

I have no idea how much wine the US imports but California has a superb wine industry. In this case it may be a huge boon for them.
