Easy Answers - NOT in Adolescence 1 Month, 1 Week ago
The most wonderful thing about Adolescence on Netflix is that it is gripping, magnificent television or film.
But it also answers lots of questions.
And not the EASY way.
Did the boy kill the girl?
We'll never know (it is fiction after all).
But us viewers are well aware he could plead guilty because of peer pressure or legal pressure even if he is innocent. He might just give up the fight (so many do). He could be a victim of the broken system.
Or he could be guilty - convinced by his peers to behave this way. Or by his nature and his upbringing to react this way to bullying or the INCEL attitude or the knowledge that he's UGLY (have you ever seen a less ugly child?).
The reaction of the therapist was stunning (Episode Three).
And of the father (Episode Four).
But as I said - what matters is - this is terrific TV. Perhaps the best ever made.
Currently No1 in 79 countries I believe.

Can you imagine a TV series with mass appeal NOT revealing whether someone in fact did or did not commit a crime?
Just as - a few months ago - nobody could imagine a series about wrongly convicted sub postmasters could catch fire?
A large chunk of the public is waking up.
