Eid mubarak 1 Month ago

I have many Muslim friends - some very committed; others less so - just like Christianity. But I think the Ramadan tradition makes a lot of sense. A period of fasting, thinking, charity, kindness. I have no religious affiliation but there are parts of most religions which are fine and good just as there are other parts which are bad, wrong and outdated (almost no religion accepts gays).
Just as some of my Moroccan friends celebrate Christmas with me in Morocco, so, if I'm ever there for either EID, I join them and also try not to eat or drink during Ramadan there (good manners). I find Westerners there stuffing their faces during daylight hours offensive and rude.

And a message for ISLAM - please issue an edict that all of Islam accepts and respects the State of Israel and at the same time condemns both the actions of HAMAS on Oct 7th and the invasion of Gaza.
