He was one heck of a handsome bastard.

I never thought he was particularly good-looking when he was young, not ugly just fairly ordinary, but he certainly looks a lot worse now. It's surprising that people can be licensed (presumably) to do that to someone's face.

Why DOES Mickey Rourke's face look like that? As star makes dramatic exit from CBB, plastic surgeons reveal surgeries that have made him unrecognisable from former self

Mickey Rourke’s changing face is a symbol of Hollywood self-destruction

I wonder if all the cocaine he sniffed burned his nose so he needed surgery to correct it? People do say plastic surgery is an addiction like tattoos are.

I forget he a brief boxing career.

Rourke did some very shit movies like Point Black which is just Die Hard on a shoestring budget, I thought Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man would have been a fun movie to watch when it came out - it was overracted garbage. It does not need a remake.

Don Johnson has to be one the luckiest actor going, he may the good looks but all he does is act smug no matter what does. I still think Miami Vice was popular because there was nothing else on.

Miami Vice was shocking. Very boring. It was all about the 'look', the clothes, the gear the 'music' and it was possibly one of the most vacuous shows of all time. It made Eldorado look like Great Expectations.

We did an Entertainment USA episode in Florida talking to stars and crew of Miami Vice at the PILOT stage so I have rather fond memories of the show.

My late mate bought the box set of Miami Vice years ago. His nickname was Tubbs, but it was due to his size and fondness for ice cream sundaes.

Tubbs had fond memories of the show, but when he re-watched it, he couldn't believe how bad it was. It got worse as the series progressed. Don Johnson is very 2D, like his character. I do remember people wearing suits with sleeves rolled up but most of the suits people wore to be Don Johnson in their mind were crappy polyester ones.

Each plot is the same, affairs, drugs, some songs are good though, and Elvis the pet alligator.

Not everything was good from the 1980s; the movie Purple Rain is shocking, and Under the Cherry Moon is much worse.

Do you have a fondness for Don Johnson records JK?

I do recall that actually. But I watched every episode of ET USA. Difference being it didn't send me to sleep. Miami Vice did. And I was only in my 20s. lol.

Point Blank - not Point Black as I put down.

I remember renting it on Sky Box Office.

Airwolf sent me asleep so did MASH, A- Team was more background for me, I thought it was the most silliest thing on TV in the 1980s, only the last 15 mins or so had the action. I did like the Incredible Hulk, I just wanted to see him go all green, burst his shirt and throw boulders that bounced like basketballs.

Knightrider was watchable but now it's unwatchable. I loved Dukes of Hazzard and still do, even though it's corny, it has a few liners that do me chuckle still. I don't remember this spin-off.

I loved The Equalizer but Hollywood has seem to scrubbed the orginal series for the race swapping reboots which have more plot holes than midget hooker.

Hill Street Blues was good because it was gritty and very realistic it was not sugar coated, unlike T.J Hooker.

A lot of police officers wrote to the producers of Hill Street Blues.

Were you a Dallas or Dynasty fan? I did like Dallas, even when it got more silly as the years progressed.
