For years I have predicted some kind of cyber war or power failure could destroy the world. We've become too reliant on certain things. I have both battery powered lighting and gas cannister camping stoves for emergencies but still we'll lose online communication. Marks and Spencer at the weekend. It's everywhere and human society, unable to adapt and, when we do, blaming things like climate changes - illustrate the truth. We have swallowed THE STUPID PILL!

Serves you right, putting everything on devices, Barney.
Last week, during my lunch break, I met an old school gentleman in a coffee shop in Alton. He said he never had a mortgage, opened up a bank account or used a smartphone.
He owns his house, which he said he bought with wads of notes and saved up from being a used car salesman. Which you can do if you are good at selling and gift of the gab. He only uses his Post Office account and uses cash, no matter what, for buying goods and services.
It made me think that we are just enslaved to the system and big tech.

Spain have ruled out a cyber attack, but still haven't yet confirmed what the problem was. Maybe not wanting panic. Our lives are just a switch tripped away from returning to the Dark Ages.
