Might I suggest that sorting out the broken judicial system - starting by police NOT believing liars - might be a good idea, Keir?

Building more prisons is not addressing the problem.

Stop using prisons to plug the lack of mental health facilities and support in the community. Fund that, instead. It is cheaper and will reduce repeat offending. Fund the Probation Service, and partner agencies, properly to reduce recalls and support people in the community.

Address causes don't just react.

Yes the Scandinavian model is SOO successful, so effective and so much cheaper. Why can't stupid Brits (especially those who hate people because of the colour of their skin or because of stupid religion) see this?

Imagine if they re-examined many of the cases of those sent to prison and discovered more than half of them were wrongly convicted? Surely not? You could then cut the prison population by half and go back to 'You will only be convicted if there is zero shadow of a doubt'. Unfortunately we have a PM who even with such doubt would sooner they be convicted. He then wets his pants because prisons are overcrowded. Idiot.
