The man is a nobodby, no one cared when he left Reform. There was very little public knowledge or who he is. If he starts a new party and cosies up to Tommy Robinson, that isn't going to go down well. Only a very small section of the UK population have a positive opinion of Tommy Robinson. The name has quite unsavoury views on immigrants. He virtually suggested that he would be happy to let migrants drown in the English channel.
