Mission Impossible - The Final Reckoning 1 Month, 1 Week ago
One of the silliest films I've ever seen; no sensible plot; terrible script (any film that says "threatening World War Three" is a no-no) but splendid action and effects; thoroughly enjoyable rot but too long.

I watched this last night, not by choice. It was two hours 20 mins of boredom, an incomprehensible plot, and fifty minutes of spectacular action scenes. The bi-plane scene looked spectacular, although ridiculous and totally far fetched. It also featured two of my least favourite actors: Simon Pegg and Tom Cruise. Looking forward to the new Wes Anderson film "The Phonecian" next week as the cinemas have been full of dross for the last couple of months.

Not seen any of the MI films but not a massive Cruise fan. The only film of his I liked was Born on the Fourth of July. Even Rain Man I wasn't struck on. Never seen the Top Gun films either.

Exactly the same DSC. I too admired him in Born but everything else - something about him just irritates me...

Indeed Wyot. Never really got the attraction. War of the Worlds is a good film, but he's annoying in that too. And oddly Born on 4th July -his best film- isn't given enough credit. His performance in that was worthy of an Oscar.
