He has his local Sky News in Oz but it only gets about 30K viewers a night while other commercial outlets get $100Ks and the government funded station sometimes in the millions.

Rupert supports his loss making Oz Sky along with his beloved tabloid daily which he has propped up for 60 years because politicians and powerful people watch or read & thus are informed as to Rupert Murdoch's latest thoughts.

A very good example is how for the past few years he has used his annual board speech & Sky interviews to spruik nuclear energy in Oz which the conservative party took to the recent election as policy but was roundly rejected by voters.
