TOPIC: Starmer on Liverpool
#259465
Starmer on Liverpool 1 Week, 3 Days ago
Barrister type platitudes meaning nothing - I'm not a fan of lawyers in general and Starmer is a superb example of why. Say nothing. Feel nothing. You can't go wrong.

The Liverpool incident looks like it was some guy that took a wrong turn, tried to get through the crowds. They started trying to open the door and bang on the roof so he panicked and started to drive faster to get through the crowds.

I agree, Robbie, people were right to speculate but not jump to conclusions on the Socials.

When he stopped, I knew he probably panicked and had no idea what to do next. He could have just ploughed through like bowling pins when the crowd circled the car, if he were a terrorist. He probably had one too many or took some chemicals before driving.

Yes. That's what it looks like to me. And then angrily reacted to the people damaging his car. An idiot.

When you panic, you go in to fight or flight mode.

I like this take from Fast Jet.

I wouldn't be surprised if the police and council were neglectful, not closing roads, not putting cones out and diversion signs out, and not having a traffic cop on the main roads using hand signals like in the Highway Code.

Not everyone likes football, to know or care about players riding on a bus flashing some silver trophy.

I have read on the socials that the driver was following an ambulance and lost sight of it due to the celebrations or due to red traffic lights. But I have no idea if it's true or not.
It's an avenue that needs to be looked into.

Of course, British people are getting very frightened and with what's been happening in this country lately, people are suspicious, with no borders, 7/7, Manchester Arena bombing and what's happening in France and Germany, makes people trust no fucker.

Since Covid, the world is becoming angrier, and people have no faith in the police and the government.
