TOPIC: Ukraine's brilliance

Ukraine's brilliance 1 Day, 16 Hours ago
I'm no war expert but Ukraine has pulled off the most dramatic and devastating attack on Russia destroying much of it's air force and sinking many naval ships.

And it was all done by drones and modified drones in the naval attacks.

Suddenly warfare has taken a dramatic turn where basically the simplest of weapons have been used for dramatic results.

It's like toys being thrown at powerful weapons and succeeding. Ukraine is emerging as the world experts on drone attacks.

I did not know but apparently Zelensky's father is considered to be Europe's most expert and celebrated computer science expert. I wonder if he has input into Ukraine defenses.

As for Donald Trump's Iron Dome, it's occurred to me this may be why Australia is getting a pretty lenient run from The Don and PM Anthony Albanese is to be a guest at the White House with Trump saying he's a "very good friend" even though Albanese ran a campaign on anti-Trump style policies.

Apart from Darwin having the US's most important South Pacific military base, the very mysterious secret spy base Pine Gap plonked in the middle of the Australian desert which prevents it being spied on itself, is where most of the US military actions are directed from plus it monitors most of the world's satellites.

It's eerily similar to Area 51 in the Nevada desert & around 300 US families live there.

I have a good friend whose daughter lives in nearby Alice Springs and the locals seem to love Pine Gap as US jumbo jets arrive each week disgorging goods for the US families & all their older gear ends up in Alice Spring markets at knock down prices.

Longer the on goes on the quicker UK youth enter another proxy war.

The youth in this video will have a few weeks basic training and then their boots will be on the ground. It won't matter if you have a bad back, bad feet or bad head or not, if you can carry gun you are in. If an amputee in a wheelchair can scare staff in a care home and the police whilst holding a butter knife, imagine if he was in charge of a 81mm Mortar.

Ireland wouldn't be no hiding place and going to prison is not an excuse. The lad needs to know in many countries they release prisoners for conscription.

We won't be fighting Russia on the ground. It will all revert to virtual/online "warfare" or Putin, weak militarily and continually humiliated, will try and push the nuclear button. Let us hope there are sane decent people around who can stop him.

It does seem quite a feat but I was surprised that Ukraine had published images of the vehicles used to transport the drones inside Russia.

Unfortunately, Trump seems to be a complete pushover ("talk loudly and carry a small stick, or better still, no stick"). I bet Putin and Co find him laughable.

I have an odd feeling (could be sciatica) that Putin may be overthrown or forced out.

He governs with the support of the Russian Oligarchs (apparently around 50) who in turn act freely without government controls.

But I cannot see them wishing a devastating nuclear attack or for even the Ukraine mess to continue for too long. Although they are incredibly rich the sanctions must be annoying.

Yes we can but hope so as none of it makes any sense. But then again, I am surprised it has been allowed to go on so long already...
