What usually happens when there is suddenly increased costs for imported goods is that huge retailers like Walmart, Target etc will spread the extra costs over all sales to try and minimize the impact. So all prices go up but sadly wages remain the same.

Walmart heir Christy Walton has taken a full page advert in the NY Times asking people to defend the Constitution and appears to be supporting the upcoming No Kings demos across the USA, an adjunct to the current LA demos.

She's not on the Walmart board but inherited $Billions when her Walton family husband died in a plane crash.

The MAGA mob are rope-able & are vowing to boycott Walmart stores which will be a tad difficult as they sat by while Walmsrt bulldozed their way across the US decimating small town "Mom & Pop" stores similar to how Westfield malls have destroyed UK High Streets.
