Yes Barney - years ago when I thought UK clubs were not in the contest for some reason I attended TWO finals in Morocco - the first being Casablanca against, I think, Munich. Terrific atmosphere of course. I wore the full Casa kit and my friend came to Marrakech with several of his friends and we had a fantastic time (though Casa lost). The next year, again hosted in Marrakech, featured Real Madrid and I got to meet their star striker, Christiano Ronaldo, in his hotel there (he was charming).
Then again in the last World Cup I was in Morocco for the entire series (they did very, very well) again wearing the full national strip!
I'm told I was the most popular Westerner ever!

Might I just ask? Why are two posters here both referred to as Barney? Just curious.

Some years ago a particularly irritating poster called themselves BARNEY. After we asked them politely to go elsewhere, different names with the same URL or position started to post, usually with simple Cut'n'Paste comments. So several old hands suspect certain new posters might still be Barney.

As one of the said old hands, I no longer suspect you DSC.

Very much in the clear!

I do wish that Barney would stick to one name though...

I had just forgiven Barney sufficiently to start calling him Al; thinking he might stick with it...

To save you from further confusion DSC I will now be calling Lester Al...

However - before hosting the World Cup in 2030 - Morocco will play in 2026 competition, being held in North America.

Morocco are now Africa's best football team and nation - and the stadiums there (some under construction) are simply breath taking.
