"Escalation is in nobody's interest" 1 Day, 15 Hours ago

One of the cliches mouthed by politicians but untrue - escalation by Palestinians (if a million people broke out of Gaza and took over Tel Aviv, a few miles north, they would find lots of food and medicine).
Escalation by Lebanon - attacking Israeli nuclear bases - after Israel have done that to Iran.
Escalation by Iran - to stop the invasion of their country by bombing Israel bases.
Escalation by Russia, the USA, the UK - bombing Israeli nuclear sites stopping the aggressor.
So whilst de-escalation is preferable, escalation is NOT in "nobody's interest".

Before and since Cain and Abel, escalation is about egos.
From the biblical Book of Genesis, known as the first two sons of Adam and Eve. Cain, the elder brother, was a farmer, while Abel was a shepherd. The story centers on their contrasting offerings to God, where God favored Abel's offering over Cain's, leading to Cain murdering his brother out of jealousy. This act is considered the first murder in the Bible.
Cain offered fruits of the soil, while Abel offered the firstborn of his flock. God favored Abel's offering, leading to Cain's anger and jealousy.
Cain, consumed by jealousy, killed his brother Abel in a field. God punished Cain by banishing him and marking him to protect him from being killed.
The story of Cain and Abel is often interpreted as a parable about the consequences of sin, jealousy, and the importance of righteous living. It also explores themes of good and evil, the nature of sacrifice, and the development of civilization.

De-escalation today seems to mean the USA invading Iran. Justified by the fact that Israel is trying to stop the spread of nuclear weapons. The suggestion that could be accomplished by Israel scrapping all nuclear weapons is regarded as stupid and anti semitic. Meanwhile Israel continues to kill thousands of innocent Palestinians, though this is rejected by Israel as fake news. The world has gone bonkers. Mad people rule countries, often elected by a majority of humans in their countries.
So what are the Arab countries going to do? And where will Russia go next, if they take their eye off Ukraine?
