TOPIC: Grandpa's new party
#260398

Grandpa's new party 1 Week, 1 Day ago
Len McCluskey says a new left party is needed and should be led by Jeremy Corbyn.

I think it would scoop up 10,000s of members who left Labour after Starmer's deceptions.

And I wonder what might happen with the unions who traditionally support Labour.

We live in topsy turvy times. Look how Reform is overshadowing the Conservatives.

Given the news the other day about the rising number of migrants coming across the Channel (Small boat crossings in first half of year up 48%), with footage showing a dinghy packed with the kind of "young men of fighting age" Zia Yusuf of Reform referred to on Question Time the other week, I wonder whether the public would support Jeremy Corbyn's views on the subject (Corbyn: ‘Migrants are not the problem’) or the views of Nigel Farage/Reform. It would be interesting to see what kind of support a Corbyn-led party would get versus Reform.

Zarah Sultana says she is quitting Labour to start party with Corbyn

Jeremy Corbyn urges west to stop arming Ukraine

Wonder if the new party will get any Russian funding. I'd dread having Corbyn as PM at the moment, or Farage. They'd be complete pushovers for Putin, possibly even supporters.

I think Reform will scoop up 10,000s of working class Tory and Labour voters.

I think Corbyn's new party, now happening, will scoop up 10,000s of young/ first time voters.

Recall literally 100,000s of voters joined Labour under Corbyn and filled Labour's coffers.

10000s left Labour over their treatment of Corbyn & Starmer literally insulted them and told them to piss off out of his Labour Party.

And Corbyn of course got more votes than Blair ever did & indeed more than Starmer..

I welcome the chaos. But of course 4 years is a long time if Labour holds out for an election. Who knows what may happen in that time.

The idea of changing the Labour leader won't do much good for Labour.

I'll vote for him (and I've vowed never to vote again). Corbyn is a decent, honourable man. Not a fan of some of his policies but a big fan of the man.

Yes I would vote for him too as I am so tired of self serving wankers with no evident humanity.

He was actually the last person I cast any vote of any kind for...
