Why I don't enjoy Women's tennis 1 Week, 1 Day ago
Just another reason - watch a game and see how rarely they use their legs. Just not built to race across court. Like women goalkeepers - so often they just stand there and watch the ball hit the net. Women are physically built different most men and cannot do certain things that require muscles in different places. Ditto stamina - imagine a woman playing 5 set tennis. Ridiculous. Yet that's one of the vital things in tennis - STAMINA.
I'll have to disagree with you here JK. I prefer women's tennis. There are more rallies, it doesn't last as long, and they generally look better. The Eastbourne women's final last week was a classic 12-10 in the final set tie-break. I think it should be equalised so that everyone plays 3 sets. Granted, the men are stronger and faster, but as long as it is a level playing field, it can be just as entertaining.

King's victory is considered a milestone in women's tennis.
On Sept. 20, 1973, Billie Jean King defeated Bobby Riggs in just three sets in what became known as the "Battle of the Sexes."
As a 21-year-old amateur in 1939, Riggs won the singles title at Wimbledon, the U.S. National Championships (now U.S. Open), and was runner-up at the French Championships. He was U.S. champion again in 1941, after a runner-up finish in the previous year. At the 1939 Wimbledon Championships he also won the Men's Doubles and the Mixed Doubles.

I like a good close competitive game whichever sex. Watching Evans v Djokovic. Oh dear. Evans looks deadbeat. Dripping with sweat. Doing his best though.

They made a couple of films about the "Battle of the Sexes" match. The best one being called "Battle of the Sexes" starring Emma Stone and Steve Carell. The film was more about the life of Billie-Jean King, setting up the WTA for women, and Billie-Jean coming out as gay. I highly recommend it.
The match between Bille-Jean King and Bobby Riggs didn't really prove anything, except that the number 1 female player can beat a 55 year old former player. It was just a big circus, with both players earning 100,000s.
