I know it must be lovely touring in the Rolls but wouldn't it be easier to travel by train and hire a luxury car? That idea of retrieving your car does seem a lot of trouble but maybe you love driving as I used to but don't have the patience any more for long car trips. I now tend to do that in the winter (Morocco) after a few years of driving all the way down - but I hate airports and flying these days. The driving was great - lots of space and comfort - until I hit 80 when the bother tended to annoy me, plus aching joints and old muscles!
