Did the steroids and HRT catch up with him?

You didn't need to be a wrestling fan to know who the Hulkster was.

I saw him about 4 years ago at a press conference in Sydney. He wrestled another wrestler and blood streamed all down his face (a bit like Trump's shot ear}. Later I found an abandoned fake blood vial on the stage floor.

I think all that wrestling mania is good fun and Hulk seemed to be a great character.71 is so young.

I was at the first WrestleMania at MSG. It was fun seeing Cyndi Lauper, Muhammad Ali and Liberace in one night.

The main event was a sloppy tag match.

It took you all this time to figure wrestling is an act and theatre like the Christmas panto and Shakespeare?

Vince McMahon admitted it in the 1980s, it's all entertainment to avoid taxes. Despite people knowing it was all theatre beforehand.

So the worst finisher ruined his back. I never understood why he chose the Leg Drop when he had massive biceps; he should have chosen something like a Forearm Smash or Full Nelson.

He was never a great wrestler, but he was very iconic and knew how to sell moves, sell tickets, and use his mic skills, charisma and catchphrases to become the biggest wrestler on the planet.

Not my cup of tea I'm afraid. Used to watch Big Daddy on World of Sport as a kid. That's about it.
