TOPIC: Your Party

Your Party 3 Days, 11 Hours ago
So 470,000 have signed up in just a few days as members of Corbyn's new party.

Far more than any other political party including Labour.

Of course that may be the totality of support and it all depends were supporters are located.

But is does mean the media have to take him and the party seriously but they will go hammer and tongs to neuter him.

# One insider says they are building a legal war chest and will be going after anyone who defames Corbyn this time.

An interesting 4 years coming up.Hope I'm around that long.

Where did you get that figure from? I'm only seeing claims of 200,000 "signatures" being reported within the past 24 hours, whatever "signatures" even means in this situation.

Nearly half a million members of a political party with no name? Have these people actually paid hard cash or are promising to do so to join or just ticking a box online?

If this is accurate it suggests that Corbyn's new party could slice a significant amount off what is left of the diminishing Labour vote share, just like Reform have done to the Tories. I'd heard serious political commentators suggest Corbyn could get to 20% with this party, if these numbers are meaningful perhaps that is the case, although I thought it improbable. Anything that badly hurts Starmer's Labour is welcome, and I think this may be the prime motivation for Corbyn even though Starmer is doing a good job of it himself anyway.

He is silent on the Brummy taxpayers in Brum who still pay expensive council tax on a city council that is bankrupt and useless.

There are Endless updating reports on Twitter as people join.

The latest figure of 470K comes from Corbyn's X / Twitter account even though Zarah Sultana has posted a lower figure of 400K hours beforehand.

People just sign up to support..no fees are asked just donations.

I expect it will soon reach 500K as Corbyn said, urging people to sign up.

Obviously Labour and the Tories with a very small memberships still win elections as it's not just based on membership but having members obviously can provide needed funds if fees are asked.

"Your Party" may even be able to swing unions to support them.
Recall under Corbyn's leadership the membership skyrocketed as the party became the largest in Europe providing $$millions in membership fees.

So according to Corbyn over 500,000 (and still climbing) Brits gave signed up to support "Your Party" in just a few days.

This will soon make it the biggest political party in Europe just as Labour was under Corbyn.

I wonder how the press will treat this?

Labour MPs are lining up tp tearfully shed tears that it will split their vote even after the odious Keir Starmer said to the Left "there is the door of you are not happy"

There is a rumour that the preferred leader will be Zarah Sultana MP.

your obvious insights to the beliefs and thoughts of half a million people who have joined a new political party are remarkable.

With Labour basically to the right of the old Conservatives I'm not sure why you make such claims and personally I cannot recall a policy of the current government that favours "dole tossers" etc then again with your remarkable ability to see into the lives of 100,000s, indeed millions perhaps you can illuminate what these favours are.

There is nothing right wing about the Tories and there hasn't been for decades. Labour are turning the UK into China with the Online Safety Bill, and people need to upload sensitive data to access some news sites, official alcohol sites and Reddit. Weird!

The Fruit & Nut Party will appeal to Year 11 pupils and Sixth Form students when the voting age is lowered to 16. Not forgetting that a lot of students get to vote twice, they are registered at their home address and campus address.

Over 550,000 now have signed up with a few short days to support Your Party.

But you would never know it from the media.

Labour has shot itself in the foot with their 16 year old voting policy as I reckon the young will flock to Corbyn just as his rallies with 10,000s attending example.

Interesting times.

I expect the media are working overtime on their anti-Corbyn themes to paint him as an antisemitic Russian lover.

I think it will backfire badly this time as Corbyn won't have a snake like Starmer covertly working against him.

Sad news for those who pretend they don't support the racists in Reform and the German passported Farage.

550,000 members seems so small with a population of 70 million give or take.

Now 660,000 proposed members.

This makes "Your Party" the largest in Europe and the largest ever in the UK and out rivals the membership in Labour when Corbyn was leader.

300,000 left Labour after Corbyn was forced out.

Repeat..is this the sum total of support or are there millions out there who will support even if not members?

Labour still got a higher vote under Corbyn twice than Starmer did but the undemocratic system produced a huge number of Labour MPs.

4 years is such a long time though. Anything can happen.
