The Kennedy Rose Garden 3 Weeks, 6 Days ago
Trump has paved over the Kennedy Rose Garden at The White House.

Well not him personally - that would likely kill him.

Despite the "fact", he assures us, he can bench press his own body weight with Putin balanced on one knee and Zelensky on the other...

Which is just a beautiful beautiful thing...

Trump has replaced roses with concrete; perhaps to better reflect the contents of his mind?

Or was it malice born of eveny of JFK and all Trump can never be...

Who knows?

But let's just take this in one more time, carefully, turning it over: Trump has paved over The Kennedy Rose Garden at The White House.

If you are fortunate enough to have a garden, a green area; some pots on a balcony: plant something beautiful in response.

Today or as soon as you can.

Let's resist the uglyness and the ugly people in any small way we can.

It's apparently the large lawn in the middle of the garden that has been paved over, supposedly for the sake of women in high-heeled shoes (but haven't women been wearing those since the 1960s?) and inspired by a patio at Mar-a-Lago (maybe that's closer to the reason).

Jackie Kennedy certainly wore high heels and she loved the Rose Garden.

That creepy wife Melania had the beautiful Rose Garden Maple Trees, a gift from Japan, ripped out in the first Trump administration.

If you watch closely when he's giving pressers in the Oval Office with some visiting dignitary he's had the whole office plastered with tacky gold paint.

Such a tasteful developer. The Trump Tower apartments have no sprinkler system (even my down market flat has one) as one resident discovered when their kitchen caught on fire and every window on the 20th floor exploded outwards.

Couldn't he have just put down a paved pathway that weaved through the roses for Melanoma to wobble along?

If the garden is paved over, it will save the taxpayers' some expenses...no no staff to pay for the constant upkeep like mowing and weeding.

Very little savings for the public if he goes ahead with his proposed $250M ballroom which he claims "everyone wants". Yeh sure they do.

Still concrete can always be ripped up and replaced with grass at not such a great cost. The sad thing was the trees that were ripped out.

I doubt that's why he's done it GM. His golfing trips cost the taxpayer up to $10m a time. He holds no value to expenses at all.

That's awful. Sounds as if she might be behind this, or be the main reason for it (I did wonder if her heels could be the main concern).
