This is why most bystanders don't help 1 Week ago
Commuters intervened when there was a flasher on the train, but they are now arrested. You get yourself in trouble for helping, taking out a threat or defending yourself. I remember seeing a video on YouTube with a woman moaning that men don't help strangers in public. Most want to but men get in trouble, and not forgetting the #MeToo Movement, as soon as you put your hand a someone, it's assault. You can defend yourself at home from intruders if they enter your bedroom.

'Put your cock away you fool' would have been quite sufficient. Not certain a beating was the required response.

While the bloke was breaking the law he probably had mental health issues.

But people did intervene but they broke the law. It's not legal to mete out punishment which no-one has the right to do arbitrarily so they are being hunted which is correct.

Not sure what I'd in the situation but I would have thought calling for a guard more appropriate.

There does appear to be a photo of a man kicking something but you can't see what it is.

Report also says they took him off the train. Difficult to know under what authority they had to do that.

Article does call them "vigilantes" but it is the Daily Mail.

Difficult situation but the fact is no-one has the right to take the law into their own hands even if they see someone breaking the law.

But of course reality may be something different to a "newspaper" report.

# I only ever see brief snippets of the Daily Mail as I have an ad blocker as I find their advertising the most loathsome on the internet.

Every now and then a renewed ad blocker works until the Mail cottons onto it.
Must see if there is an update.

People outraged at him exposing himself near children decide to expose the children to them beating the crap out of him...

Children just love to see random violence; really settles them down...

I hope the thugs are caught and prosecuted.

I call it self righteous self indulgence not giving a fuck about the harm it causes to the watching children...

I remember the Daily Mail making an article in one of the previous heatwaves we had about the number of men going on public transport with their shirts off, with accompanying pictures, almost trying to equate that with some kind of indecency which it is not and never has been. There were a handful of sneakily taken photos of these perfectly law abiding men going about their daily business on a hot day in shorts and bare chests.

One look at the Mail website down the right hand side and every other image seems to be a man or woman with not much on snapped by some paparazzi on a beach somewhere with comment about their bodies.

Wyot, in a library I was in someone once got taken to task by someone else for loudly blurting out the "F" word. The person who took offence and called them out for swearing actually used a further three "F" words to castigate them, spectacularly losing the moral high ground and clearly had no self awareness of their own.

A punch up does not affect children but perverts do.

When we are putting ourselves on the moral high ground any behaviour can be justified Rich!

The same principle applies to your library swearer right up to Netanyahu now...

The man who first approached him told him "Mate, pull your trousers up, you need to get off the train" repeatedly.

Witnesses say he was about to crap on the floor.

If people stand around and let that happen, I would say they are more loony than the chap without pants!

Stop talking sense, Honey, you are going against the narrative. You could get locked up.
