This is well worth watching.

An interview by Mike Graham this morning on Talk TV where he ended up throwing someone called Sam Tims, the lead analyst from the Rowntree Foundation off air.

He begins sounding so sensible, and always keeps calmly in control and polite, but it soon becomes quite obvious you can't judge by his appearance, he's bonkers.

He believes the best way to get the economy in better shape is to tax people more and then give out even more benefits all over the place.

Quote - "The most efficient way to stimulate the economy will be through social security" he says. Mike tells him he's talking absolute cobblers and tells him to get lost.

Wealth generation isn't going to be coming from those on benefits, increasing them, and never ending tax rises across the board, just total national ruin. It's scary to think young people like this could be advising this government. He knows nothing. The comments underneath are just perfect.

Mike Graham really should be considered a national treasure.

History has shown that governments injecting huge sums of money into society stimulates the economy.

After the US Wall Street crash of 1929 when rampant unchecked Capitalism went berserk and the entire world economy suffered as millions were unemployed in the US, the greatest US president FDR created the New Deal.

The New Deal pumped multi $Billions into the economy via newly created social security benefits, road and infrastructure building and so on creating millions of jobs.

As a result over the decades a 100 million Americans were catapulted into the Middle Class and the US economy boomed.

And then came Reagan and Reaganomics (matched by Thatcherism) who both used "other people's money" to give the the already obscenely rich tax cuts while slashing welfare benefits while flogging of citizen owned enterprises, utilities etc at knock down prices.

US & UK corporations as good Capitalists do, moved off shore for cheaper wages while governments provided zilch encouragement to remain.

Result prices have risen while wages have stagnated for over 20 years now.

Meanwhile all the countries with Social Democratic governments like all of Scandanavia, Australia, New Zealand and much of Europe thrive as they pump money back into the economy usually by generous social security benefits from free schools and healthcare and so on..

The lunacy of selling off state assets is exampled by Norway's $2Trillion Sovereign Fund built from the profits by keeping all the state assets and utilities in government hands.

Trump is completing Reagan/ Thatcher's work by slashing 100s of government programs as the US heads into a recession.

After Australia did a deal with the US with Oz agreeing to import US beef Oz supermarket chains have advertised they will not be selling US beef as Trump has fired 1000s of food inspectors so only a madman would eat US food.

Mike Graham is a rude oaf. Why would any sensible person speak to him?
