As a 20 car convoy surges through UK villages to a Cotswold house where JD Vance and family will be staying, villagers are claiming UK police have been knocking on doors and requesting the names of residents and their social media details.

Some have refused, others too frightened not to comply.

Police admit it's for the benefit of Vance who famously said the UK is losing it's free speech.

Vance's cars look very American. Do they fly these cars in? I think so. I've seen similar vehicles when US presidents have visited Australia. Imagine the expense.
