TOPIC: RIP Terry Stamp 87
#261751
RIP Terry Stamp 87 1 Day, 2 Hours ago
One of those who attached himself to us 1960s Pop People. His brother Chris co-managed The Who. He was one of the actors who wanted to be part of our "crew" - even dating The Shrimp, an honorary member - her sister Chrissy was a major player in our period of growing up. Like Richard Harris, Terry really wanted to be "one of us".

Tremendous enigmatic actor. I watched Far From The Madding Crowd the other day. Great cast. Us 60s babies really did miss out during that decade I reckon.

I had dinner with him once at the Bondi home of the Priscilla producer when I was visiting.

He was very pleasant. He was staying at a Bondi beachfront hotel while making Priscilla and I often saw him. He'd give a cherry wave.

I believe he may have been going to star in an updated Priscilla movie.

Odd that I never met Chris Stamp.

R.I.P. to an acting great.

And only earlier this year we lost Gene Hackman so that's both Luther and Zod from the
Chris Reeve Superman films gone in a year.

I hope you didn't rush home on Saturdays to watch Louis and Clark. Which was terrible even back then.

Baywatch was also terrible, but nice to look at.
