TOPIC: Swimming the channel
#262000
Swimming the channel 1 Week, 2 Days ago
Watching them, nearly all seem to be doing the crawl. Yet I only do the breast stroke. I think it opens up the lungs and uses all the joints as they SHOULD be used instead of straining muscles in the wrong directions.

I did the crawl from a very young age and became quite good at it.

It does slim you down but can give you big shoulders especially on women that can look disproportionate.

Does going for a paddle with your trousers rolled up count as swimming? Oh...

Well, if a bloke wears a dress calls him "Amanda" or "Suzy" and it makes him a woman, then paddling with your trousers rolled, with a knotted hanky on your skull does count as swimming in my book!

Totally brilliant, I agree - well done.

Therapeutic, mind emptying, and healthy.
