TOPIC: Horizon last night
#26433
Horizon last night 17 Years, 4 Months ago
Why didn't it work? Brian Cox - ex D:Ream - is decent looking and a legitimate astro physicist who clearly cares about gravity and it should have been fascinating.

But he was incredibly annoying and unable to clarify the very complex subject.

I was looking forward to it but was seriously disappointed.

I completely disagree. I thought it was very engaging and informative. He was a good host for the subject and was amusing when he was grasping for ways to explain the complex subject matter and failing a couple of times.

'if a gravity wave came through this room now it would...ummmmmm....no'

It has also inspired me to look into the subject further which i assume was the programme makers desire.

I watched and thought it was a really good documentary.

The subject matter is hugely complex, and I think he made a good stab at condensing it all into a 50 minute TV documentary.

And what does it matter if he's decent looking or not?

It's Horizon JK, not Hollyoaks...

Mary Norton explained gravity very well in her book The Borrowers when it was described as invisible sticky stuff.

Who needs scientists?
