I recall a few months ago when a BBC announcer told us that up next was 'Dr Woo'. Now an ITV presenter tells us that the Saturday movie is 'Charlie At The Chocolate Factory'.
The thing that annoys me most, however, apart from commercial channels not seeming to know what the word schedule means, is the way they cut actors off mid sentence when going to adverts.
Each of their small gaffs point to a major lowering of standards and general lack of care for the viewer.
That's my Saturday moan about modern day TV personnel

I read that they cat "stretch" a film by slightly speeding it up or slowing it down to actually make it "fit" their usual slot, too !
The announcer that really annoys me is the Geordie continuity announcer on Channel 4 - really iritating (which is odd as I rather like the Geordie accent).

I'm totally convinced his Geordie accent is a fake. It's far too 'put on'. I mute him out now.
Did anyone else see that episode of Sherlock Holmes a while back where, as the great detective was explaining how he had solved the case, some idiot ran the "coming next" announcement over the top of him.
