I'm trying to find a track by him by the title " where is love " I understand it to have been written by Lionel Bart. Would anyone know the best place where i can get a copy or download?

Spot on. Oliver sings it. Newley sang it too. I'm sure of that. You wouldn't think so, looking online. Could be one for Mrs Marple.

According to Paul Goodhead of the Anthony Newley Society he never recorded this song.
Its possible that he performed it on, say, a TV or radio show but they are unaware of any recording.

I'd guess that would likely be the case... Newley did pop up on many TV shows over his life to sing numbers he never recorded. I was listening to one such occasion last night when he guested on a naff Beatles tribute show on American TV in the late 70s, where for some inexplicable reason he got to sing "Within You Without You" of all songs... not a sound for the faint hearted!

Thanks for the research. A good old friend of mine who was a record collector many moons ago, swore he had it on vinyl and now pines for it. I'll break the news gently.
