I watched it for about the 5th time again last night.
The premise really is absurd but it is so well made and both Travolta and Cage are so good that it's actually one of my favourite films.

It`s an escapism movie.. 18 Years ago
I quite like it, but not that much, too much gore!
I like any Arnie film for the same effect of utter unbelievableness, but currently can`t stop watching "The Aviator", it`s immaculate.
Jodie Foster, in "Contact", I think , I have watched more than any film, once again, true fiction, but with good messages.

It's true that it's the chemistry between Cage and Travolta that keeps it giong. If I remember, doesn't it have a very very tacky scene on a roundabout, almost like a 70s ad for a deodorant? (Or am I confusing it with another film?)

A Travolta un-talked of classic.... 18 Years ago
"Blow out", absolutely brilliant, and rarely mentioned.
largely because , he did it to lose the "Sat nite fever"image.
A fantastic film, in which he should have got more acclaim, for his brilliance in breaking down at the end, and his courage to play such a different character than previously. Tarentino, used him well after realising what talent the guy had, and compiling it.This would not have happened without this movie.
