Watching Clear And Present Danger again last night for the sixth time (I loved those Jack Ryan films - they were the Bournes of the 90s), I remembered being interviewed in Cannes this May at the same time as Harrison Ford.

With Omar Sharif two feet away - I did sneak photos of Omar during a coffee break - take a look in the photos section.

For about 5 seconds I felt like a real movie star.
Fortunately reality kicked in within moments.

I was once in an amateur production video. A few weeks after it had been released I was in the public library when two school girls entered and one nudged the other, pointed at me, and said "Look there's that film star!"

My first reaction was to scan the library to see who they were talking about. Then I realised it was me.

It was quite amusing.

I'v been around a lot of stars ( due to my work ) as you obviously have JK but every now and then one stands out above the rest.

Omar Sharif is such a star !.

I worked as gofer on a film he was in and ocassionally drove him around London-he"s a bridge fanatic.( as in the card game)

I've never met a man that the title "gentleman" could apply to more.

He's a legend.
