The man is spot on in many respects.

"Humans have out-sheeped the sheep".

Wogan is naive and patronising. And his assertion that America is an open society is utter tosh.

True, Icke did himself no favours with some of his early theories, but I believe he is closer to the truth than most of us will ever allow ourselves to be.

In terms of Ickes's revelations regarding the New American Century, I give you the following quote from David Rockefeller's memoirs, published in 2002:

"For more than a century, ideological extremists at either end of the political spectrum have seized upon well-publicized incidents to attack the Rockefeller family for the inordinate influence they claim we wield over American political and economic institutions. Some even believe we are part of a secret cabal working against the best interests of the United States, characterizing my family and me as 'internationalists' and of conspiring with others around the world to build a more integrated global political and economic structure - one world, if you will. If that's the charge, I stand guilty, and I am proud of it"

Baaaaaaaaa!

Terry was great for apologising, but sadly then went for Ickey again at the end of the interview, however , I don`t think he won the audience over that time.
Don`t get me wrong, I love Mr Wogan he is an institution in himself, Mr Icke would be an interesting dinner guest as long as he did not "talk shop" all night!

Talking of lizards, as we do! Check this.......

The lizards could cure many of us!

David Icke lives in a small 2 bedroom flat in the Isle of Wight and drives a very modest car.

He does not earn a great deal of money because he does not do that many "talks" and spends most of his time researching - having to cover his own costs. It is comparable to an Academic Career with a Univerity without the housing help.

When you consider that his BBC salary would be 1000 times what he earns now - he gave up a lucrative career to have no money at all for many years - especially after the Wogan interview.

David Icke saw BETTY SHINE ( Accoridng to the GUARDIAN ) who predicted what would happen to him. Very accurate.

He is a man who has a message for us all in his books which is to open our eyes a bit more and live a bit more. Whether you want to agree or disagree with all his research is your choice. His "world view" as expressed in his 1999 book THE BIGGEST SECRET has been proven to be especially accurate and his early work likewise. He predicted ID cards in the form of Chips and moving to implanted chips way way back. He predicted a Totalitarian Society when we all would have laughed at him ( and many did )

Without the WOGAN show he would not be so famous. It cant have been nice for him and his family. But it made his "enlightenment" public.

On a musical aside - his son GARETH ICKE is a very cool singer / songwriter currently working with James Sanger on a debut album in France, You can see him live accross the UK on the LIBERTY TOUR which may appeal to songwriters on here. The link to the tour is wwww.myspace.com/thelibertytour08 Listened to him on his KERRANG radio appearance a few weeks ago and he was excellent. XFM are backing the tour and the BBC And Kerrang.

Following is bad... unless it's Icke we follow.

Everything he accuses others of can be equally levelled at him.

Until I read BR`s post there, I had no idea he was still on the Isle of Wight, or that his son was a singer, so thanks for that.
People can form their own opinions about Mr Icke, but he will never the most fatal human personality problem, which is that of being boring and grey.

Does Icke want people to follow him, or does he see his role as a communicator of truth so that people can reclaim their freedom and individuality? That would not be following.

Certainly his views contain lizard nonsense, but I like him. The majority of his opinions are worth thinking about. He seems to have integrity, though I accept he may have fooled me.

He is a man of total integrity in both his public and private life. He comes from a council estate in Coventry and works very hard.

He is not setting up a religion - he does not have any type of following.

He is a researcher.

Gareth Icke sings a song called "Dont Shoot the Messenger" - and that is why anyone who has a go at David Icke shows that they have never read one of his books or gone to one of his talks. He is as most posters on this thread are writing - a researcher who then presents his research. He believes it because it is the result of his massive research and evidence. He does not expect anyone to believe anything he says - just give it a fair listen. He has a small subscription service on his website for which you get newsletters if you want to "support" his work and his main income is from speaking engagements. He probably gets alot less for those than if he was a CELEBRITY TV presenter - so even with those he has lost money by changing career.

Go to one of his meetings and say hello to him - or talk to people who have met him.

I am a Christian - and David Icke has found out alot of bad things about the Church and how it is run - does that bother me ? yes - but I dont blame Icke : i blame the people who have done those things in God's name.

What is happening today in the ECONOMY was predicted very accurately by ICKE ( including the LLOYDS bank takeover as well - in 1999 !!!! ) Incredible.

His claim as "communicator of truth" which most of us are unable to perceive with out his insight to guide us sets him up as a "leader". I think "pioneer" would flatter him more but the net is the same.

His views, so far as I am aware of them, are based on skewed logic and nonsense. He expects people to accept and agree yet has no coherent evidence - should we just take his word for it then?

His "predictions" have been nebulous enough to simply wait for something "near enough" to claim prescience.

He is the vassal of the Picean-aliens seeking to mislead us.

Thanks for that.

I do suggest if you believe in the "alien" watchers you check out PROJECT CAMELOT. Where they are drawing together people from all over the World who have certain powers. ( Can see the future - telepathic - alien encounters that are regular and meaningful )

In addition there is a Internet Computer programme that is measuring Pre Sentiment based on language ( believeing all humans are Pyschic - even though some of us dont realise it )

Things are moving very fast in this area - as in science.

If you believe what you said then you must think that ICKE and myself and others are possibly backing the DRACO race in the battle for the earth - which I can assure you is totally wrong.

I believe God has good things for those who show love and aspire to being like Jesus Christ in terms of consciousness. All Christians and many others believe we are all Children of God and therefore by definition family. That is why I find it hard to understand why our world is full of so much violence and hate towards each other.

John Lennon was right on many things as well. Some people just seem to understand what it is all about - and Ghandi - Mother Teresa - Diana ( even with her faults - beacuse none of us are perfect )

Definitely not. I do suspect that Icke's research is highly selective, but that accusation can be levelled at government too.

Skewed logic or not, people are sleepwalking into an Orwellian nightmare. Hidden cameras, ID cards, convictions for thought crimes, the gradual removal of liberty- all very reminiscent of the early days of Nazi Germany. If Icke can help to persuade people to question what is happening, then I'd say there's some positive purpose to him.

I must agree with Anthony; there are enough interesting aspects to Icke to at least deserve being taken seriously.

I also feel we're Icked out here please, BR.
