Re:Gordon Brown - "age of irresponsibility"? 16 Years, 9 Months ago
At least we are now seeing, through the thin veil of cliches and slogans, the truth - globalisation and new world is here, and this is how the powers that be are phasing it in.
One thing is clear - the world 'economy' is now based on people living way beyond their means and borrowing, borrowing, borrowing. Living withing the constraints of a budget and paying for things with real money is sooo 20th century, man.
All Bush wants to is bail out his banks so they can recommence irresonsible lending to the idiot masses

The conspiracy theorists call the human race idiots "SHEEPLE" and call anyone who has worked out what is going on "AWAKENED". Similar I suppose to the old Evangelical Christian "Born Again" !!
I think spirituality has been taken out of society and replaced by a god of "materialism" where people are measured by the Wealth and Celebrity. Where shopping is the new worship and gaining riches on earth is the sole aim of living.
The Millionaire who "killed" himself because of the credit crunch is an example of someone who lived only for his own wealth and when that was taken away he had nothing to live for.
I think all of us need to be more spiritual. Whether it is found in family or friends or nature or meditation or a religion - it does not really matter. We all need to express love to each other and then I do believe the World will be a better place.
Our politicians can only do so much - we blame them for things that are out of their control. Our happiness should not be controlled by them - that is when the STATE has become god - or Big Brother if you want to use the positive spin on it.
I think we do need to be more responsible. We do need to start thinking for ourselves again. We do need to discuss and talk to each other again and find common ground.
The Economic Crash is a problem but it is easier to get over than a famine or a big natural disaster. Our media need to start putting in perspective.
We should NOT be bailing out rich bankers - when we have let poor houseowners lose everything during the last 30 years. The bankers should be made responsible and take the flak. Then they may value money LESS and life and love more.
