So now our leader has been wrongfooted by the IRISH GOVERNMENT.

According to SKY massive amounts of money are transferring to the IRISH BANKS because of their 100% guarantee.

The POUND is falling on the back of this.

GORDON has not yet made an announcement - surely he has to match the IRISH before our banks lose most of their deposits.

The IRISH could cause more of our banks to go under !!

If you have more than 50K in any one bank then the IRISH BANKS are offering this 100% guarantee !!

It is of note , that I was on tour in Ireland once and found the "sister" bank to my own English one and wanted to put the cash away safely and quickly that we were getting every night, as when one is away for a while , it can tend to, ermmm, leak!
Not a single bank would let me pay it in over there.
It became a problem for the whole crew, we were in a place in which in some areas we were not welcomed by the locals, due to being English, and could not put the cash anywhere safe.
Obviously as a result, I am finding the Irish banking move confusing. I kid you not, a bank guy in Waterford, would not bank 2000 Euros from me which I did not need to be carrying around.
Strange and silly, but of course I might have had unlucky and isolated incidents.
