The police did nothing wrong in the run-up to the shooting of Jean Charles de Menezes, the senior officer in charge on the day has told an inquest.

Deputy Assistant Commissioner Cressida Dick said: "If you are asking me did we do anything wrong or unreasonable, then I don't think we did."

Mr de Menezes, 27, was shot after being mistaken for a terror suspect in 2005.

Ms Dick, named as the "decision maker", said his behaviour had contributed to her assessment of him as a bomber.

Erm, yes ITK she is but surely she is referred to as a female in this?

Ms Dick has to be the thickest Policeperson in the force.

According to the BBC she said that De Menezes and the Hassan looked similar.

One was black and the other light brown. They had a different shaped skull as well.

If the Police cant even differentiate between two people of a different colour and race then they need serious medical help.

The Police each day lose more respect in front of the people of the UK. Their constant lies about what happened have never stopped - the only truth is the truth which we see acted out on the video cameras.

This was assassination no different from a gang going out on the streets at night and kicking someone to death because they "looked funny" or "stared the wrong way " or reminded them of someone they did not like"

The NEW HEAD OF THE MET must SACK every person involved in this incident including Ms Dick and pay them off. We dont need Police like this in our society. They are criminals with no remorse. They owe the family the truth - but continue to justify their actions.

I dont see why the News of the World does not run a front page about them - they have dragged the name of the UK - the name of the Police in the mud.

That post is spot on, BR. I cannot add to it other than to say the whole affair makes my blood boil. It is sickening.

It should, perhaps, be borne in mind that had anyone else physically restrained, wrestled to the floor and then pumped no less than seven bullets into the head of this unfortunate innocent the police would have been talking about a "frenzied attack" and bringing as much pressure as possible to bear in order to ensure that the person holding the gun would never be let out of jail. Someone HAS to be held responsible for this. But it is a regrettable fact that in all likelihood no one will be.

Yes, sadly this is a further example of no accountability; many crooks go into the police (and judiciary) precisely because they know they will never be held personally accountable for crimes they can commit.

Same in all huge ventures - look at the credit crunch/financial global disaster/weapons of mass destruction consequences - we are witnessing murder and potential suicides and misery all caused by individuals who will get away with it by hiding behind the skirts of big organisations.

Of which the worst and least accountable is the criminal body known as the meejah.

In which we are all non accountable members.
