CONTEXT! 16 Years, 7 Months ago
The BBC is a huge organisation, broadcasting for different audiences.

Just as some people enjoy legal hard core pornography (not for me I hasten to add) which is appropriate in specific magazines but not on the front page of national newspapers, so idiotic student humour is fine late night on minority radio shows but not on the breakfast show.

The Mail On Sunday putting it on the front page is inappropriate and irresponsible.

It is no excuse to print it saying "this is disgusting". That is hypocrisy.

End of story.

The tabloids have always thrived on their hypocrisy. You should know JK. You were once the darling of Fleet Street, enjoying the four hour liquid lunches and the 'buzz' of the next big story. It was your life for a while. So what has changed?

Could this be true? Could Vile Pervert be just another celebrity stunt to gain headlines? But I thought JK hated the press? It didn't work though did it! Perhaps too obvious. Perhaps JK should just run through Picadilly Circus naked. Or try and get on Jonathan Ross's show come February. Two Jonathans for the price of one. Get em while they're hot they're luvverly.

The radio show wasn't that late night 9pm - 11pm on a saturday evening with an audience of around 200,000 with a very high profile presenter.

The mail or sun didn't show hard core porn on the front cover of it's paper. A picture of a woman in a basque is not hard core porn.

Anyhow I think we should move on from this story, otherwise we are just as bad as everyone else in over-exagerating this act, which in the great scheme of things is not that important.

Alright alright - I hate ALL kinds of pornography!

But my point remains the same - the Mail would not think of printing a photo of two adults screwing on their front page to go with a "stop this filth" crusade; so they shouldn't do it with silly comedy aimed at a different audience either and by doing so they are the ones offending.

30,000 Mail readers complained.
Only 2 R2 listeners did.
