Brown to exploit Diversity in attempt to look cool? 15 Years, 10 Months ago
The PM certainly needs something to boost his image, especially among the young voters, so his latest move is to invite dance group Diversity to perform outside No.10 tonight at 6.30pm. On one hand it can be seen as an honour for the dancers, but on the other it smacks of the old 'Cool Britannia' days when Tony Blair attempted to impress young voters by being seen with the "in" pop stars.
My advice to Diversity, and to any entertainers, is to turn such invites down. Far too easy to find yourself being used for political ends, even if that isn't the original intention.

Diversity are performing at so many venues at the moment that I wonder the two younger ones have any time for school. Hopefully this act at Number 10 will be just that and not lead to any political exploitation, but I doubt that many people would vote for a party purely on the grounds that a popular group was seen with them. Though, yes, it did seem to work for Blair.
It does seem a very odd place to do a concert, unless it's for some special occasion. To my knowledge there's nothing special about today.

Apparently it was an event to celebrate young British talent. Young Perri Kiely took a rare tumble and had to limp off injured, but I'm sure he'll be back in action soon. What a moment to have that happen, just as the group were making history by being the first to perform in front of the door to No.10.

about boosting his image..I reckon he needs prozac. He comes across a someone very depressed to me..I mean clinically so. He certainly depresses me when I hear his speeches.
