I have just watched one of the most distasteful programmes I have ever seen on BBC TV - WATCHDOG.

They tried to destroy an alternative healer - and despite him having HARD EVIDENCE and loads of people to say that he helped them - the BBC tried to belittle him and anihilate him as a person.

What is worse A MAN FROM MACMILLAN CANCER RESEARCH was involved in it. This bloke was a total disgrace saying that all therapy should be be scientific and provable. Funny how he forgot to say how many BILLIONS of money the cancer industry soaks out of upset relatives for cures that never materialise.

I am never going to GIVE A PENNY to a cancer charity because of this man. I urge you to give to the living if you need to make charitable donations. Not to some medical charity which wastes most of your money and has no morals.

I am outraged and I am thinking of organising protests outside their coffee mornings if I can find one to protest outside.

The BBC is pushing BIG PHARMA at us every minute of every day. No wonder the NHS is broke paying the bills to the friends of Government and Obama.

There was also no scientific proof that he healed. Having said that, programmes such as Watchdog never give a fair representation. I saw last nights programme and it's arguments on certain subjects were questionable. Dumbed down journalism for morons.

The "no proof that he healed" - well ironically there is no proof that the Swine Flu vaccine will work ( without side effects ) many cancers are still death sentences and yet we still "treat".

The man was "made" to look foolish by those making the programme.

As it started I turned to my partner and said this bloke must be deluded or mentally ill - so why ?

By the end of watching it I realised that he was just someone who tried to help people relieve the stresses of modern life in his own way. He did not charge and I have checked his website this morning and that is the case.

Not only that there are TENS of testimonies from people who have been helped by this man.

Healing is not just about "medical intervention" - for many mentally ill people they need therapy that cant be measured by any clinical ways. Therapy has been proved to be more effective in most mental health issues. Those who take tablets often stay in a state of Zombie existence for the rest of their lives swinging into hospital care every few months.

This man was doing a servce - nothing wrong with him at all. He was not selling a miracle cure - he was not ripping off anyone - and he was just helping people.

Worst of all there was not a single person who complained about him - no lines of people saying he had ripped them off or done anything wrong. The only people trying to destroy him were a gang of BBC presenters and the Macmillan man. Even the Doctor involved looked very embarassed to be there and actually hinted that mental health was an important component of healing in cancer patients and others.

This smacks of the anti religious stance mainstream TV is following. Praying to God does not work because it is scientifically unproven. The problem is that science cant prove almost anything. Science cant even agree on gravity and cant even agree on how time or quantum theory works. Science for all its claims of greatness actually is as much a "faith" religion as any mainstream religion. Outside of the limited maths and perdiodical table science is impotent. They can "copy" things like cloning - genetic stuff - stem cells - creating new chemical formulas - but that is really like Jamie Oliver creating a new recipe. It does not answer any real questions.

Therefore this programme has left a deeply distasteful feeling.

They should not pick on people who are trying to help other people. If these people are slightly dotty in their view that is even more disasteful - because they are ridiculing people who maybe are just well meaning and have some problems.

This is the sign of a country that models itself on NAZI germany in my view. Pick on the weak and defenceless. This poor man was totally out of his depth with TV crawling over his life - he had to pay for a lawyer and PR person because he had no clue of how to defend himself.

The BBC should be SUED for this by someone who wants to stand up to them. If I was rich I would initiate the action on this poor man's behalf and call all his satisfied customers as the witnesses for the fact that he helps other people. I would also look to see WHY the BBC decided to do this. I smell BIG PHARMA behind this - they want to destroy people's hope in anything but their tablets.

I have news for everyone - outside of antibiotics - and a few drugs - most of what the Doctors give out do little more for health than placebos. These very expensive drugs do very little but make BILLIONS for Dick Cheney and his friends BUSH - the old Nazi gangs in LILLI - BAXTER - PFIZER etc.

If being healthy was because of taking tablets then I am sure we would all be taking loads each morning with our orange juice. A healthy lifestyle is the best bet would you believe - and being HAPPY is the other thing. Therefore in many respects this man was providing a service which was far more effective than any drug company with a higher success rate I am sure.

I'm not with you on a lot BR and I haven't seen the programme but your post makes sense. (The fewer the capital letters, the greater the sense).

I would watch the programme. It is important that decent people watch what is generally one of my favourite programmes on TV I might add to see what actually happened.

At the start you will all think this "man" is crazy and mentally ill. By the end you will wonder why they have picked on him - and what the agenda is.

Normally WATCHDOG act on customer complaints ( which is fair ) and they usually do companies where they have 10s of complaints to make sure it is not a personal vendetta or where the evidence is overwhelming.

In this case their researchers supposedly received the most e mails ever in support of someone on their programme ( That is what Watchdog said....) - so even before they went to air they knew that the general public were actually in support of this poor bloke.

I feel so sorry for him and all those that he has helped - who possibly share his hurt today. Even if he knows he is doing a good job it must be awful to be ridiculed on prime time TV.

For instance why dont WATCHDOG go around to the homes of BANKERS and expose how rich they are and how they have mugged the taxpayers of BILLIONS of money. So much that next year we will see a 20% cut in essential public services plus the scrapping of many silly schemes as well ( which is the only plus side to this story )

The BBC should be neutral and impartial but they always support the Party in power. They backed the Tories when they should not have - and they back this sorry excuse for a government when they should not.
Since the 80s the BBC has swayed with who-ever is in power - and now they are swaying to the beat of a new drum - BIG PHARMA - which shows that they can be influenced by big money.

I can prove this guy is the real deal because the BBC happened to shoot themselves in the foot before WATCHDOG !!! Silly buggers.

I truly believe this guy can help people - it is obvious by the huge number of people beating a route to his clinics in the remote countryside.

Ironically the WATCHDOG programme may have just aired an advert for the person who obviously has incredible successes as the above BBC article showed.

I hope WATCHDOG investigate the BBC WEBSITE and ask them why they are making false claims LOL

Nothing on here seems dodgy ? He seems to be a leading authority on alternative therapy - with a huge number of real people who have been helped - many thousands by the looks of it.

I would hope that next week WATCHDOG may allow some of these people to speak on his behalf.

After researching the facts about cancer 10 years ago and being shocked and disgusted by what I discovered, I will never give a penny to any "cancer research" charity of any description. The cancer charities that deserve contributions are the hostels etc that specialise in helping the afflicted live in as much comfort as possible before they die.
Cancer is an industry, the disease(s) are used against us and natural treatments, cures and -most importantly- food to prevent succumbing to it are riduculed and mocked. The treatments they offer are designed only to make money.
If they wanted a cure for cancer they would stop preservative-loaded food, carcinogenic household products etc - but they do not. Of course millions are going to get cancer at some point when they fill their stomach with chemicals, spray chemicals onto their skin, breathe in toxins etc every day of their lives!

Thanks for that Chris. I feel exactly the same way having done some research today and spoken to some people involved with hospice care in my family - who all agree with the view that you are giving. They did say that Marie - C nurses ( ? ) are helpful. YOu are right HOSPICES deserve support.

And he is quite clear about what he does - and there are satisfied customers on the clips.

I am now considering contacting him about my longstanding back problem which the NHS cant treat. Sounds as if I have a 50/50 chance with Adrian Pengelly which is worth the try. Others have certainly been helped as well - so maybe it is 60% as he said.

But you never seem to mention that the chap also said he could find ghosts and cure animals. Are these spurious claims not relevant ?

I'm with you on this one ruddy, this guy was shown to lie on camera and made claims on his website that he had a 90% success rate at curing cancer. The secret footage showed him rubbing some woman's shoulders, that isn't going to cure cancer. He's a charlaton making money out of vulnerable people desperate for any hope of a cure.
Also he was seen to 'cure' a horse that had nothing wrong with it in the first place. I applaud Watchdog for exposing charlatons and pushy salesman, the world would be a better place without them. Also Macmillon nurses do a damn good job.

in this instance, forget any beef you have with our Prophet Of Doom BR and research the facts yourself.
