it looks like the UK so far has been kept in the dark,but over here the big news is that Abu Musab al-Zarqawi is to get an autopsy.it turns out the bombing didn't kill him and they now think that the US troops beat the shit out him and killed him.I guess this is another thing we'll never know.

Thanks for the update Cilla. I believe you are right, and the funny thing is that the media here is now very sceptical of any "anbnouncement" by the US. ITV News said (when announcing that he was not dead as had been originally claimed) that the US had issued the "inevitable update". Very telling, eh?

The story was all over the news, including the claim he died after the raid and that there is a planned autopsy. The British journalists are usually on the ball with such stories.

Al,I now live in Arizona.I read sky news UK everyday and can assure you the brit news does not say the autopsy is because of claims yank soldiers killed him due to a beating,it only says there is an autopsy.out here the yanks are finally asking questions.if the brit press were so up to date were was the story on the buggery incident on that state senators son.trust me your news can be just as doctored as the US news.

Why would the British be interested in a story about a State Senator's son? I certainl;y wouldn't be. As for American soldiers beating Zarqawi to death, we'd probably only report this if there was some evidence of it, but that doesn't mean questions haven't been asked.

Al wake up and smell the coffee.over here its big news because Zarchawi had his face rebuilt by plastic surgeons for THAT photo.so thats enough evidence for a lot of people that his face may have been smashed in by a rifle butt. again,absolutely no mention of that in british press.

well its 4pm brit time and the autopsy has concluded "Blast waves from the two bombs caused tearing, bruising of the lungs and bleeding," he said. "There was no evidence of firearm injuries."It also turns out that the US had him alive for 52 minutes.I am now writing this 8pm brit time and still no mention on brit news.I still beleive both yank and brit news are doctored.

Regarding news being "doctored" Cilla, it's very noticeable how different priorities are given here.

For example, the very pro-B-Liar Sky News will often "play down" any news which is bad for Toady, either by watering down the story altogether or by not giving it the same prominence as other news media.

At the same time, anything pro-B-Liar is "boosted" and shouted about ... so it's obviously not a case of "we don't do politics" it's a case of "we do the politics that we like" !!

(Of course, it goes without saying that if a footballer even farts, then that takes priority over All other World events with Sky !)
