Good speech by George Osborne 15 Years, 2 Months ago
The coalition really does seem to have the best intentions and serious plans; as you know I voted for a hung Parliament, trusting neither Labour nor Tories (nor Lib Dems come to that) but think a combination of two or three parties will curb excesses of each and increase the positive ideas instead.

For the first time since the 80s I actually feel positive about the Government as well.
Only time will tell - but the start that has been made is a good one. At least there is no rush to legislate and there will be big discussions about every issue before taking any action.
New Labour wrecked so much - so rebuilding the UK will take time.
Lets hope the coalition heralds a new style of politics in the UK. I am sick of the old.

As we actually know, JK, you - and everyone else - didn't vote for a hung Parliament. That wasn't an option. It's like saying you bought one copy of a single in order to make it reach number 11 in the charts. Someone's been lacing your milk! But I agree about the coalition: the hacks are desperate to see it collapse, but, whatever one thinks about Cameron's party, he's behaving remarkably positively, Bill Cash and the Right are being pushed towards the wilderness and some really promising plans are being discussed.
