I love cauliflower, but especially love cauliflower cheese.

I bet most people hate it because they cook it wrong and it turns out all mushy. Same with sprouts.

we Brits are very good at overcooking vegetables.

I also love cauliflower and sprouts, but always steam them, they're waaaay more tasty that way

Three of us Cauli/Sprouts fans so far and we all agree - they MUST be crunchy and we adore them.

Count me in. Cauliflower and sprouts are my favourite veg - along with brocoli. M&S do a lovely pre-prepared cauliflower cheeese, and if you follow the instructions to the letter, it's just right!

Sprouts, Cauliflower, Brocolli are my fave vegs. Sprouts on the stalk from Gloucester's OVER FARM MARKET in december are amazing........

Most St Paul's boys are mad so I got a good excuse. Or maybe it's only people who steam cauliflower that are mad.

Ha ha! Actually I really like the 'feel' when they're cooked properly, but they rarely taste of much to me. Maybe I just have an unsophisticated palate!

And to conclude this delightful, trivial, silly but vital thread (423 views today) I'm having cauliflower (fresh, steamed, with home made cheese sauce) tonight to celebrate! With chicken and mashed potato; comfort food.

gently steamed cauliflower is very tasty.

boiling it just takes all the taste and nutrients out of it.

Cauliflower is my fave veg too. Not as nutritious as broccoli though, apparently.

I put it into boiling water and let it cook for less than ten minutes. It remains crisp and tasty. Same with sprouts and broccoli.

Wow! 14 responses to a post about cauliflower!

Thanks Emma Bee. My pic was supposed to be sepia but went wrong and I couldn't be bothered changing it. Yeah I'll take it as a compliment.
