My back of an envelope financial maths led me to say on KING OF HITS that in order to just stem the debt of the UK there would need to be cuts of around 20% to Government budgets.
It has taken OSBORNE less than a month to come to the same conclusion using the might of the Treasury staff and modelling computers.
1 in 5 things will have to go. That is going to effect alot of people. Probably take away a million jobs from Public Services. Hopefully most will be in ADMIN where if paperwork is CUT then the public will see no difference in what are called "Front Line" services.
Getting rid of expensive BIG BROTHER databases and computer projects will also free up money.
Councils would be advised to turn their CCTV onto "Auto Scan" and get rid of all operatives. Criminals will never know whether the cameras are working or not - so the deterring effect will remain the same BUT the Council will save the wages - and that could save HALF A MILLION for the bigger urban councils with alot of cameras.
There are plenty of ways to SAVE MONEY beacuse New Labour wasted so much of what they spent - so we should not be alarmed.
"Pruning" usually helps in the long run allowing for better and more productive growth and eliminating waste.
22 June Budget is a fantastic opportunity to improve the UK.
