Crazy UK : Kill a person = No court Bin a Cat = Court 14 Years, 9 Months ago
www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-11375080

What a mess our country is in.

A policeman can kill someone openly on the street ( TOMLINSON ) and then face no charge because of contradictory evidence even though witnesses and CCTV prove beyond doubt what happened.

A middle aged women puts a cat in a bin with only CCTV evidence and finds herself charged and in court.

The Verdict

Being cruel to a family cat is a more serious crime in 2010 than killing a person.

You could not make it up. No wonder people laugh at our Justice System.

'Only CCTV evidence'

This was clear and unambiguous; what could be better evidence, coupled with an admission?

Your penultimate sentence is plain daft.

You are all missing the point, which is:-

Was the cat put into the correct (colour-coded) bin?

If not, the verdict is guilty - punishable by hanging (the lady, not the cat).

And, if the correct bin was selected, the lady is obviously innocent - and the cat should be bailed (his role in this sorry episode will soon be self-evident).

Clearly, he is an attention seeker.

Thanks BR,

That is a very apposite comparison.

Methinks that Barry, Jim and BR are from the same school.

'Being cruel to a family cat is a more serious crime in 2010 than killing a person'

This is akin to saying that shoplifting is more serious than rape.

the only reason the cat-in-the-bin lady was charged is because it was in the media ! ...and they must be obeyed.

A man in Hartlepool has been jailed for nine weeks and banned from keeping a pet for five years after admitting he microwaved a hamster.

(He looks like a typical bully / thug / mongol too)
