Agreed JK - she was absolutely adorable. One of the lasting memories from Wimbledon 2006 for me. What an absolutely superb standard of tennis in the 2nd set particularly. Great to see two real characters in the game. The British crowd really seemed to endear to Baghdatis. Best support i think ive seen for a non British player since Goran.
Ladies final will be interesting, i tipped Henin-Hardenne before the tournament started so im sticking with her but Mauresmo has finally come of age in the big matches and is playing with a gritty steel we haven't seen in her before.
As for mens, will be intriguing but i stand by my earlier comments, Nadal will have to be having his best ever day on grass and that still probably won't be enough to beat Federer on the centre court he owns!
had a lovely lunch with my friends Pete and Paul yesterday and they gave me all the Eurovision gossip.
Incidentally I am trying to work out a way to launch and break Dima in the UK, Europe and the US... I'm convinced he could be a major global star and that Russian track is a hit.
And don't you agree that the Romanian entry Tornero has to be the big summer hit of this season?

I assume that you are talking about Pete Fenner???? A thoroughly decent and nice chap indeed. I'm sure he told you all about the great times in athens. he was sporting Icelandic t-shirts with slogans all week!
Agree about Dima having the potential to break big outside of Russia. Did you know he took part in Euro video grand prix in Albania about a week or so after Eurovision???, Agree about Tornero too. It has summer med club hit written all over it. Doubt it will be exposed to wider Europe as a potential hit without someone like yourself behind it sadly.
