They are in season, get them whilst you can.
Lightly blanch, then pop them out of the skins, marinate in oil, chilli and mint, serve cold, and they are a better nibble than crisps or nuts.
It is very time consuming taking the skin off, but it removes the bitterness that we all hated at school dinners.
The lamb last night was appalling, I hate it when people hide blatant lumps of fat in a sauce.
