Still can't believe that one of the greatest players ever in the World could resort to such a ridiculous and out of character assualt. What a shit way to end a fantastic career what the hell was he thinking, it's actually one of the worst attacks I've seen , it was so blatant and uncalled for it wasn't as if the Italian had physically assualted him. If it was a touch of the verbals surely he's old enough to rise above it, PRAT, glad they lost. Also wish England could take pens like that(including Lamps of course!).

I havent seen the papers yet , but I am sure he hit the front pages , but possibly not in the way that was expected.
What a dreadful display to show on the biggest world stage of his chosen profession.
One minute he hit what was nearly the hardest header I had ever seen, the next he used the same bit of his body for violence. It does not matter what was said to him, a player of his years, should have risen above it.
I also bet that in a time of European football, being full of acrobatic diving , that actually really hurt the Italian guy.

Not a great game anyway; France played better than Italy.
But the Zidane nutting was horrifying and totally out of character.
I thought it was a great World Cup but the early games were better.
Still. for me, best goal Argentina; Best individual performance - Zidane in the Brazil game...
And best red card; a battle between Rooney and Zidane - I think (as a male) the one who went for the balls just edges it!
