Miranda Christmas 14 Years, 6 Months ago
A joy; I've adored this series; very funny; very simple; very silly and delightfully unpretentious.

Sorry, JK, but this show is one of the poorest 'comedies' we've seen for years. When The Whistle Blows, anyone...?

If this shite is representative of what we can expect from the BBC post Sachsgate, then is it any wonder Frankie Boyle fucked off to Channel 4?

Epic fail for everybody concerned.

I really can't stand it - though the mother and her husband are quite the fans

I like it. The reference above to the wretched Extras - one of the shoddiest shows in recent memory (lacking any kind of internal logic, let alone laughs) - was telling! At least this show aims for a certain audience and reaches it.

One man's meat.....
I thought it was stupidly great - there hasn't been a good sitcom on TV since The Office and Extras - this definitely appealed to my SOH.

Pro Miranda are just beating anti Miranda (and I have to admit I loved Extras too).

Keep voting (Your) Viewers.

But come on, JK, while the first series of Extras was very good, the second series was a mess - a terrible unwatched show-within-the-show inspired nationwide catchphrases and got a BAFTA nomination, the Scottish girl went from acting 'zany' to mentally ill, the lead character was a joke one minute and a huge deal the next, etc etc. It just made no sense. I know people will say, 'Oh, it's just a comedy,' but if you look at the best they DO keep a certain internal logic. Gervais sleptwalked through that second series.

Another vote for Miranda, I love it. Very enjoyable non-cynical humour. You can keep Frankie Boyle for me.

I didn't see the Miranda Christmas special but did enjoy most of the series.

I'd absolutely love to see a Frankie Boyle stand-up show (but is he too dangerous to be let loose on his own?)

I'm pro Miranda, have watched both series, but yet to watch the Christmas special due to a Freeview+ box malfunction! Let it snow...
