Yet another weird story. Does not seem that much has happened in this case. Why do the Police charge people with this sort of thing - yet let people who assault and do terrible things walk free due to "Lack of evidence "

How do you know that there is lack of evidence, there may very well be concrete evidence.
Whether or not he is a celebrity is very debatable.
Serves him right I say.

Answer - Because it is against the law.

The crimes :
- grabbed one girl by the hair and pushed her head towards his groin.
- grabbed another girl, pushed her towards his groin, then bent her over.
- pulling up the girl's dress inside the nightclub

If guilty he deserves to be punished regardless if he is a celeb or not. I don't know what happened inside the nightclub in Fife but then I doubt if BR knows either

from what I read in that report I fail to see why it's a "sex" attack.

It's typical of today's hysteria.

If it's true it was certainly not a nice act and he should pay some penalty (if the alleged victims were innocent) but the haste to label so many acts as a 'sex attack' gives it a far more sinister meaning.

I think it was a sex attack if the claims are genuine. Why else would you grab a girl by the hair and pushed her head towards your groin for example? The motive is clear to me.

Perhaps she tried to glass him? Or tried to pickpocket him? Or maybe it was an ordinary common or garden scuffle. Any movement of the head towards the floor from a standing position is "towards the groin" so I personally would not rely on that for a clear indication of motive.

At the risk of speaking onr behalf of Veritas and BR, the problem seems to be a double standard. If I'd reported that Basshunter had hit me on the head with a big stick in the street (no witnesses, no CCTV) it's unlikely the police would be able, or feel inclined, to pursue the matter. However, if any sexual motive, however tenuous, can be included in the story, it's possible to go ahead with a prosecution relying solely on the account of the accuser.

Then again, there may well be a whole host of witnesses because this allegedly occurred in a busy nightclub. Equally, if it turns out that there aren't any witnesses to the alleged events in such a setting, then why not? Let's wait and see, but if it's just the girls' story against his, I'd say its bogus because someone would have seen it.

I wonder if Mr Clifford is representing either of the girls. He can be SOOO helpful in these kinds of circumstances.

Well I think this is NOT a sex attack. So if a woman pinches a celeb on the bum is that a sex attack ?
We shall wait and see how this all pans out in court but there is in my opinion a deliberate campaign by some
to go after celebs in psuedo sexual situations in order to cash in. There is a big scandal in Australia involving
a teenager girl. Thankfully the media is not as hysterical as the UK media is so they haven't tried and convicted
the guys in question. However they have hung the girl out to dry. Mind you it's one of their darling AFL players
at the centre of the scandal
